Trainees
Are you a student and would you like to do an internship at the Coudenberg Palace? Then feel free to send us your cover letter and CV by emailing info@coudenberg.brussels.Good to know:
- We prefer longer internships (2 to 3 months);
- In the past, we have had interns studying public affairs, (art) history, communication or cultural studies - but other fields of study are certainly possible, so don't hesitate to contact us;
- The range of tasks varies, but can include activities and assignments linked to supporting events, welcoming visitors, encoding research data, etc., with usually a personal project as a common thread during the internship.
Volunteers
Are you a student looking for a first professional experience in a cultural setting? Or are you looking for an interesting occupation that makes a positive contribution to our heritage and society? Then become a volunteer at the Coudenberg Palace! As a small non-profit organisation, we appreciate your help even more. :
Do you want to:
- get your first work experience in an archaeological site and museum that you can put on your CV?
- help with practicalities and logistics during events and exhibitions?
- support activities with children?
- accompany visitors?
We organise various events and activities throughout the year and would love some extra helping hands. For example, you could help bring the past to life during our Family Day in May/June, learn to look at the archaeological site from a different angle when carrying out various assignments with a group of children, or open the doors of our ancient underground palace to the curious public during one of the Nocturnes or the Museum Night Fever.
Sounds like something for you? Or do you still have questions about it? Then contact us via info@coudenberg.brussels
Or would you rather:
- contribute to the operation of the non-profit organisation and ongoing scientific research?
- help complete archaeological data under the supervision of our staff?
In 2017, we launched research project "Archane", in collaboration with the University of Liège and funded by the Beliris cooperation agreement. This project offers the possibility of a full digital recording of the knowledge acquired by traditional archaeological methods. Do you have the time and motivation to help us with this project and work with a team responsible for managing an archaeological site?
Would this be something for you? Or any questions about it? Then please contact us at info@archane.brussels
